The car or type of car, dates, city or airport, and anything that changes the answer: number of passengers, luggage, a driver, cross-border travel, a wedding schedule. It takes about a minute.
2. We check the network
We contact the independent rental partners who could realistically hold that car for those dates and confirm availability, deposit, mileage and delivery. This is the part that would otherwise cost you an afternoon.
3. You get options
Usually within one to three working hours: the cars that are genuinely free, what each costs, and what each partner requires. If the exact car is not available, we say so and propose the closest alternative rather than quietly substituting it.
4. You book with the partner
The rental contract is between you and the partner that owns the car. We help coordinate handover, delivery and timing, and stay reachable if anything changes.
What 1OF1 is not
We are not a rental company and we do not own the cars shown on this site. Vehicle availability, deposits, insurance requirements and final rental conditions depend on the selected provider.

- Does sourcing through 1OF1 cost more?
- You pay the rental price for the car you choose. We are not a broker layer added on top of a booking you could make yourself in one click — we exist because comparing individual partners for a specific car takes time.
- How quickly will I hear back?
- We usually reply within one to three working hours with the options we can actually confirm for your dates. Requests sent overnight are answered the next morning.
- Can 1OF1 find a car that isn't listed here?
- That is the main reason people contact us. Send the model, dates and city, and we will check the partner network for that car or the closest realistic alternative.
- What documents are usually required?
- A valid driving licence, a passport or ID, and a credit card in the main driver's name for the deposit. Some partners also ask for proof of return travel. We confirm the exact list for the specific car with your options.
