The season is short and intense

From late June to the end of August Palanga runs at full capacity. Premium cars follow the crowd — several operators physically move stock to the coast for the summer, then take it back to Vilnius in September.

That has two consequences: choice in July is better here than at any other time of year, and availability for a specific car on a specific weekend disappears weeks ahead.

Getting to and around town

Palanga Airport is five minutes from the centre, which makes airport handover unusually practical here. Basanavičiaus street is pedestrian-only in season, so parking is on the surrounding streets or at the hotel.

Vilnius is three hours away by road, so a delivery from the capital is a half-day job for the partner and priced accordingly.

Longer stays

Families and remote workers taking a house for two to four weeks are a large part of summer demand. Monthly rates are dramatically lower per day, and partners are more flexible on mileage for long bookings.
