Roads worth the car
The A1 between Vilnius and Klaipėda is the fast, boring option. The good driving is on the smaller roads: the loop through Trakai and Aukštadvaris, the Nemunas valley road out of Kaunas towards Birštonas, and the coastal run from Klaipėda through the Curonian Spit.
Most sports rentals we arrange are two to four days, which is enough for a Vilnius–Kaunas–coast triangle without spending the whole time on the motorway.
Practical limits to know
Daily mileage caps on performance cars are typically 200–300 km, with a per-kilometre charge beyond that — worth checking before planning a long route. Deposits are higher than on standard rentals and are blocked on a credit card.
From November to March some partners withdraw rear-wheel-drive cars entirely. If you are visiting in winter and want something fast, an all-wheel-drive M3 or RS Q8 is the realistic answer.
Driving licence and age
Most partners require a driver aged 25 or over with a few years of licence history for this class of car, and will name a single main driver on the contract. Additional drivers can usually be added for a fee.

- Can I rent a luxury car in Lithuania as a foreign visitor?
- Yes. Most partners accept EU and UK licences directly; licences from outside the EU are usually accepted together with an international driving permit. Minimum age and driving experience requirements vary by partner and by car, and are confirmed before booking.
- Can I drive the car outside Lithuania?
- Sometimes. Travel to Latvia, Estonia and Poland is often possible with prior written approval and occasionally an extra fee; some partners exclude high-value cars entirely. Tell us your route in the request and we will only send options that allow it.
- How far in advance should I book?
- For a specific model in summer, two to four weeks is realistic. Weddings and public holidays go earlier. Last-minute requests are still worth sending — we will tell you honestly what is free.
- What insurance is included?
- Cars come with standard third-party cover and usually CDW with an excess. The excess amount, mileage limit and any reduction options depend on the partner and are listed in the options we send.
